Great stuff.. just was thinking how this may work (or not) when there are people who believe in alternative facts, conspiracy theories and the like.. so hard to hold an open mind and heart when the material seem so not correct..

To transform consciousness, to bring us back into our innate bond with Nature as our teacher, I have learned much from the Kichwa elder Taita Alberto Taxo from the Andes Mountains of Ecuador. I teach these practices now at the University of Michigan. Many people are participating in cultivating this capacity to 'feel'--the actual experience of being in communion with Nature.

Thank you for this. Helpful for me as a teacher as well as personal rejection.

We need more of these thoughtful articulations of how to relate to the profound challenges we face, that require us to step into a different direction that is only unfolding, not already known-that’s why this new direction is a real future, and why our known tools won’t suffice to birth it. Wonderful summation of Otto Scharmer’s innovative U-Lab theory and system. I learned about Otto’s work while studying for a doctorate in Educational Leadership. I can attest that it’s made me a much better teacher, leader, and person. We need to scale up these regenerative ideas 💡 , to talk about them more in our culture….in the media, for example. But they could also be integrated into the broader culture (i.e, movies, theater, and the other various arts). If more people knew about this, we’d have a much better world 🌎.

Gives up his paramedic career, travels the world, and becomes a spiritual icon. Whats wrong with this picture? Someone probably told him he could make a lot more money convincing ppl the earth is flat. He's got the looks and charisma of a charlatan...can you not see that! And he made millions off of your naivete. Ask yourself: whats wrong with that picture? It's not just T.H. ALL SPIRITUAL LEADERS ARE CHARLATANS, and should be exposed as such.

I think that our society has reached a point in the development of civilization, at which politicians should be abolished. What society really needs is an ingeniously structured civil-administrative system that allows all citizens, to the extent of their status, to take part in decision-making and management. I meen, a real democracy, not a political democracy.

Thank you, Dr. Capra. Splendid. This systems analysis of "today's reality" is sparkling clear, apolitical, rational, inclusive, important to hear. Your coherent system of interconnected oneness landed as simultaneously water-tight, inviting and hopeful. I continue to look for evidence, now into 2022, that humanity has found the political will to create a sustainable world exactly as you describe. I see the evidence in the legions of involved people and tens of thousands of Eco-initiatives and social initiatives, large and small, around the globe that show promise to bring the world and humans everywhere to radical changes in our human activities. This is what we must do. That and talk, talk, talk about climate. Grateful. Respect.

I agree, however, there is still a lot to be done. During lockdowns, although the carbon footprint decreased (with the decreased use of cars, for example) people's exposure to illicit drugs and alcohol increased, especially among the poor and the teenagers. As families had to stay at home, among families with bigger social problems, domestic abuse, tensions and violence also increased. The pandemic was positive because we could clearly see how big the social problems among people are, that otherwise would be hidden. We can see that people are pointing out their social differences even more and fighting for their rights which is positive also. On the other hand, the solution for this crisis has to be a long-term plan, which a vaccine only will not give solutions for, even though that's what it's been given to people. The solution will have to be a complete change of paradigm.

What a joy to find this author and teacher of meditation. I first discovered it through a magazine that I just bought called Mindfullnes over 50 and I read the article there about meditation and how this teacher is considered the father of the meditation like the Rock "n" Roll had Elvis Presley. All this says a lot and that is why I am beginning to practice and educate myself in the techniques and benefits of meditation. Thank you so much

Great! Yes, our system is not sustainable, and I feel that humanity is at a crossroads. So, this is a critical time period in human history.
